We are an Energy Catalyst / Innovate UK recipient, working on a Feasibility Study in the Global South.
We are looking for a creative and passionate freelance/self-employed sustainability engineer who understands circularity and long-term planning.
​
This exceptional person will have:

The maturity to work independently and be part of a virtual team working together on the Study,

Enjoys a challenge and is able to apply out-of-the-box thinking and grasp new concepts quickly,

Is agile and accepts uncertainty is part of the process,

Capable of empathy with living and working in the Global South,

Ability and passion to work in the field,

Excellent desktop research and report-writing capability.
This person will:
-
Have a deep understanding of circularity principles,
-
Have experience and/or interest in emerging markets and their needs,
-
Have experience and knowledge of clean energy productive use equipment,
-
Have experience in product re/design and sustainable material substitution.
Ideally, they will:
-
Understand sustainable food systems, production and processing,
-
Have knowledge and ability to interpret the SDGs,
-
Have comprehensive business acumen and understanding of entrepreneurship,
-
Understand distributed manufacturing principles.

The project lasts 55 days over five months (May to September), with ten days in the field in Fiji.
