What is Carbon Literacy? The Carbon Literacy Project describes it as ‘An awareness of the carbon costs and impacts of everyday activities and the ability and motivation to reduce emissions, on an individual, community and organisational basis.’ We would add that being carbon literate is now an essential part of our jobs and roles as it helps us all communicate using the same language, reduce miscommunication, and enact the change the planet so desperately needs.
